#NBA2018AGC TRANSITION, TRANSFORMATION AND SUSTAINABLE INSTITUTIONS

We are in a season of global, socio-economic, technological and political shifts that underpin current contextual realities in governance, business and politics. Debates around the challenge to the assumed global order or the developmental difficulties in Africa reinforce the need for sustainable institutions to manage transitions and transformations. The Nigerian Bar Association 2018 Annual General Conference (#NBA2018AGC) speaks to the role various stakeholders can play in ensuring peaceful and successful transitions, drawing references from Africa, The Americas, Asia and Europe. It is therefore appropriate that the theme of the #NBA2018AGC is the tripod of “Transformation, Transition and Sustainable Institutions”. The Conference will focus on how transitions are handled in critical spheres of human endeavours and the strength of institutions to withstand the shocks that may be incidental to change. The Conference shall cover the following areas: Political Transition and Governance; Technological disruptions; Diversity and Inclusion; Sustainable Economic Development and Rule of Law & Security. At its core, the conference will feature: (i) keynote addresses and high level panel discussions from world renowned leaders and experts who have been successful change agents; (ii) knowledge sharing (iii) networking and mentoring.

The Nigerian Bar Association welcomes all speakers and delegates to the beautiful capital city of Abuja and the centre of unity. Please follow the conference on the following social media handles and accounts to stay up-to-date with Conference information and activities:
